Some even have a handle, so that the measurement is not just based on the legs but more of your body. 6-8 liters of water sounds like a lot on a raw food diet (unless you are doing a lot of exercise and sweating considerably).

Make sure you eat enough greens, or animal foods such as quality milk, cheese, or eggs,…(yes, I know this through and through from extended deep experience),.. or else your teeth will likely become more transparent or other sort of off color from solid white simply due to inadequate balance in the diet,.. aside from other dental issues potentially.  Exceptions possibly can occur, but not likely, so 'heads up'.

I read that a lot of people gain more weight then they have started water fasting with after they start refeeding no mater what kind of food they are eating.   10. Thank you for sharing. I have been dong daily intermittent fasting for a year and full day fasts every few weeks. I have just started studying long fasts, I'd like to do a 7 day soon, but my biggest challenge is my family.Thanks you for sharing your positive experiences, I hope I can convince my family that fasting is safe and VERY beneficial.

  17. Thank you so much for sharing your journey, Basia. It helps me so much. How much fruit do you consume in one meal? And how much water do yo drink per day, and what kind? Also, can you recommend a good scale? Thank you! I would be delighted to hear from you.

  18. Your body is made to run on insulin or in ketosis. If we weren't meant to fast we would just die after a couple of days. People have been fasting since the dawn of man. 
     I've water fasted several times for long periods. Here are some tips if you want to use.

    -Prepare for the fast, meaning no crap food at least a week before. What goes in must come out:)

    – Drink plenty of water, but in sips do not gulp or you will feel ill.

    -Add minerals in small quantities to your water maintain your electrolyte levels. These deplete over time and will make you weak and crampy.  If you get too low in your electrolyte levels you can have heart problems, but that means you've been ignoring these symptoms to get to that point. You should not feel weak, tired yes, but not weak.

    -Take this time to write down the foods you like and get in touch with what you nourish your body with. Fasting gave me time to come up with all kinds of healthy recipes I would have never considered.

    -When you end a fast it's important to not drink juice or have any carbs(more than 5g). These can spike your insulin levels and you could experience "refeeding syndrome". This condition can be fatal. I suggest you break your fast with tofu, eggs, bean sprouts, and extremely small quantities of carbs. 5 grams of carbs for first couple of days doubling each couple of days till you reach your carb level. 

    -Most important, monitor your vitals the whole time during your fast. Heart rate, ketone bodies, and maintain your electrolytes.
