    First time that I watch your videos and I'm nicely surprised. I've been trying to consistently meditate for years without success, precisely because all of those normal symptoms "feeling sleepy, ride with the thoughts, the drunk monkey…" I took them as "I must be doing something wrong, I better look for a teacher, pay for classes…"
    So I've been failing, indeed.
    Now, from your words, taking all those symptoms as a normal part of the process, one can accept better that everything is OK as long as one keeps going.
    Well, Sir. I can only say this: THANK YOU. I will try (won't quote Yoda, but I'm already thinking about it, haha) and hope I can make it every day.

  6. alright, this is the perfect moment in life for me to start meditate. I'll start out tomorrow on my first tryout on those 30 days a row. Thanks. Im totally in to find out where this might take me, total enlightment might be a good goal.

  7. i don't know if this is normal but it seems to me that after only 3 days of daily meditation i'm already feeling some benefits, my mind has been more at ease over the last 3 days, as well as my thoughts also appear to more kind of "quiet" if you will, i get a choice if i concentrate on the thought of not. my question would be is this a good thing or normal and should i keep progressing this way? ps, thanks for opening my eye's to this wisdom.

  8. Wow! That was awesome info. I have a hard time meditating being a fire sign (Aries) always go getting and getting it done now and find it hard to relax and meditate until everything is done and in order. Which means nothing is ever done from day to day. A new day brings new things. Right? Should I just pop out of bed early in the morning and begin? I've done that and my yellow lab stares at me and asks me when are you going to take me out. Over the last several months I've discovered Qigong. So what I've done is get up feed Oliver, open the back door, do my Qigong and then assume a standing or sitting Qigong meditative position and proceed to meditate. Thoughts come in and out. Some days are harder to get out. Those days I do a very slow "Qigong walk" in meditation and it is quite awesome. The days I don't meditate, which are few, I really struggle with mental and emotional disruptions. I like your idea of keeping it simple, which I like simple. But sometimes it's hard when the mind is not so simple.

  9. What if something very important comes up while you're meditating? Like a knock on the door or a phone call?

  12. the first time i become aware of meditation was when i read EAT PRAY LOVE , that was a very good introduction and i learned a lot about meditation .. and i started doing it ..and to make sure that i was doing it in the right way ., i started to search and read more about it .. and here what i found .. this amazing vedio that tell everything that meditators need to know .. thats really help me a lot , thank you very much ..and it what a relief to know that meditation is actually very simple and there is no need for classes ,books or gurus .. :)

  14. Wow I wished I had seen this earlier. You addressed all my meditation stumbling blocks and gave me hope I can get there myself in time. I was wondering why my monkey won't settle down and now I know its ok and it will improve over time with commitment.
    Question: My monkey is calmer in the morning and more frenzied as the day goes on, should I meditate in the morning or bite the bullet and meditate in the PM when its more of a challenge?
